Splice vs. Species

Both films have a few things in common:

-beautiful but deadly females, driven by instinct
-mixing human DNA with some exotic creature
-rapidly-aging subject
-scientists performing unethical experiments

Splice looks more horror/sci-fi oriented while Species was mostly a sci-fi thriller -- with a good helping of Natasha Henstridge running around. It just goes to show that premises really are a dime a dozen. It all comes down to execution.

Coincidentally (or not!) both actresses are Canadian and I have no idea why either of them is 'famous'.

Being hot might have something to do with it. :)

I'm not familiar with Delphine Chanéac, who plays Dren in Splice

Almost forgot one: They kill after mating.

Well that ex-Charlie Sheen one shows her tits a lot, but I thought the other chick was Sarah Polley.

Polley's one of the scientists.
