The Invisible

After helming “Blade Trinity”, David S. Goyer really had nowhere to go but up.“The Invisible” isn’t much to look at -- Ha! -- but he gets some solid contributions from the cast. The plot is simple enough: disembodied teen must find help for his injured body before he becomes dead-dead. Along the way, he learns some stuff about the people around him -- sounds a bit like that unaired FOX pilot, “Still Life”. Margarita Levieva stands out with a sort of grungy, (almost)Jessica Albish vibe with her portrayal of Annie -- the misunderstood tough girl (I guess you could say that she was invisible in her own way). The film changes genres in almost every act, starting out as a teen drama, switching to supernatural thriller and closing as a paranormal romance. There’s an audience for a good teen “Ghost” flick, but this movie doesn’t fit the bill. Watchable but not memorable. I believe Goyer does a commentary on the DVD though. Will have to check it out...

Speaking of Goyer and ghosts...

He has another coming out called UNBORN. I'm reading the script right now. Not bad, not great. It's well-written but the story doesn't strike me as exceptional or anything.

A young woman is being haunted by a ghost who has haunted other members of her family.
